Boosting Your Physical Energy

If your Physical Energy is an underused energy source, investing in it will help you to maintain more vitality throughout your day and harness the capacity to see your plans through. Investing in our Power Potential energy can be extremely beneficial for our wellbeing – here are a few easy ways to boost your Physical PowerBar.

Sleep

Sleep for the number of hours you need to – the recommended amount is 7-8 hours, but you may find you personally need more. If you have problems sleeping:

  • Relax and wind down before it is time to go to sleep – try reading a book or writing down your thoughts. Don’t expect to go straight to sleep when you have just been on the computer or phone as your brain will still be active.
  • Eat your last meal of the day a few hours before you go to bed.
  • Try and stick to alcohol free evenings – this will give you better quality sleep.
  • Go outside in the day, and get sunlight on you.
  • Turn your bedroom into a sanctuary of calm.
  • Invest in a good quality pillow .
  • Experiment. Different sleep/wake times work better for different people.
  • Recognise sleep as an important part of your life, energy, and health – make it a priority!

Your energy will never be ok if you are low on sleep. It is worth sorting out whatever is getting in the way of this essential rejuvenation.
